Kishtwar: Kishtwar Police arrested one notorious drug paddler and recovered 56 Gms Cannabis like substance from his possession.
As per details, a party of Police Station Kishtwar was conducting routine patrolling in Umar Mohalla / Bhagwan Mohalla Kishtwar. While Patrolling observed a suspicious moment of one pedestrian who on seeing the police patrolling party tried to flee from spot but alert cops of police party overpowered and appreheded him .On his personal search a white coloured polythene in which Cannabis (Charas) like substance weighing 56 gms was recovered and accused person was arrested from the spot.
On enquiring the accused disclosed his identity as Firdous Ahmed S/o Abdul Kabeer Butt, resident of Umar Mohalla Kishtwar. In this regard a case FIR No. 66/2024 under section 8/20 NDPS Act was registered against him at Police Station Kishtwar and investigation taken-up. SSP Kishtwar, Abdul Qayoom, issued a stern warning to drug syndicates, cautioning them to cease their activities or face legal repercussions. He also urged the general public of Kishtwar to share any information related to the sale of drugs with PCR Kishtwar at 9906154100. The identity of informants shall be kept confidential and they will be suitably rewarded.
