UDHAMPUR: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Niraj Kumar on Sunday convened a meeting with prominent citizens and representatives of various social and religious organisations.
The DC urged people to maintain brotherhood, peace and communal amity in the district and do not pay heed to the rumour mongers.
SSP also appealed to the representatives of the civil society to maintain peace and discourage mob culture which is a threat to life and property of the people.
The participants also put forth their suggestions and extended full cooperation to the district administration and police in maintaining peace in the district.
SSP Suleman Choudhary, ADC Angrez Singh Rana, Additional SP, M.L Kainth, Joint Director Planning Rakesh Jamwal, ACR Subash Dogra, CMO, Tehsildar, members of civil society, political and religious organisations attended the meeting.
