NEW DELHI: Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) emphasized that Kashmiri Pandits (KPs) must collectively decide whom to vote and BJP or other like-minded nationalist organisation must contest both the by-poll Parliamentary Constituencies in the Valley to show the nationalists presence as well as consolidate their voters in the Valley.
In the meeting held here on Wednesday, KPC discussed present prevailing situation in State of J and K as well as about by-poll elections of Srinagar and Anantnag Parliamentary Constituencies scheduled to be held on 10th and 12th April.
Kundan Kashmiri, KPC Chief, while addressing the activists of his organisation, stated that in view of double standard policies and politics being played by so-called Kashmiri nationalist parties, who have failed to fulfill their promises and check the violence and Dharnas in the Valley, the lot of voters in these constituencies are of nationalist approach, wants peace and development, hence would not like to vote them.
So, BJP or some other like-minded nationalist party must contest the elections of Srinagar and Anantnag Parliamentary Constituencies, which will also be in the larger interest of the country.
That will also provide an opportunity to create nationalist environment in the Valley and consolidate the nationalist voters, in particular KP voters of these constituencies, which would be befitting reply to separatists boycott call and could fail the ill plans of semi-separatists, including NC and others to drive KP and other nationalist voters of these constituencies in their favour.
Kudan appealed to the displaced KPs not to fall under the trap of anti-national politicians and their political parties who are responsible for ill-being of KP community and deliberately alienated and isolated them for the last twenty seven years.
