North Polytechnic wins inter-college cricket tournament

JAMMU: North Polytechnic defeated IECS Polytechnic by seven wickets and won the inter-college cricket tournament held at IECS Polytechnic Cricket Ground, here on Monday.
Earlier batting first after winning the toss, IECS set a target of 81 runs in 10 overs losing seven wickets.
In reply, North Polytechnic team with the help of Kulwinder Singh’s match winning 40 runs chased the target in 8.5 overs for the loss of three wickets. Kulwinder Singh smashed 40 runs with the help fo four sixes and was declared Man of the Match. All rounder Romil Koul also played well.
The match was officiated by Abhinav Sharma and Durgesh as Umpires and Angrez Singh Manhas and Neeraj Sharma as Scorers.
Principal IECS, Prof. K.G Gupta and Principal North Polytechnic, Prof. K.R. Sharma appreciated the efforts of faculty members and congratulated the winning team.
The match was played under the supervision of Ajay Singh Jamwal, Dean Administration, Vijay Singh, Amit Sharma, H.N Bhat, Pooja Sharma, Preet Sundan, Diksha Jamwal, Prof. Anil Warikoo, Lecturer Deepika Sharma and Anjum Malik.
