Non-performers will be shown door: CAPD Minister

RAJOURI: Exhorting upon officers to make changes at ground level, Minister for Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Department Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali said that government will not tolerate any laxity on part of officers in ensuring prompt services to people and non performers will be shown the doors.
Zulfkar said this while chairing a review meeting of district plan with all district officers.
Minister for Animal and Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries, Abdul Gani Kohli and all the legislators were present in the meeting.
The meeting had a detailed review of physical and financial achievements of all the sectors during 2015-2016.
On the occasion, Zulfkar said that officers are the face of government and they must deliver on ground to bring tangible changes. He said that people are having lot of expectations on present dispensation and officers must deliver so that justice is delivered to the people. He said that this government wants zero tolerance on corruption and those indulging in the practice will be dealt with iron hands. He said that officer had shown cooperation in changing the ground situation in 10 months but there is need of more thrust on the developmental activities. He said that those officers who will perform better will be rewarded but non performers will be shown the doors. He added that the government will check performance of every officer and dealt them accordingly.
The minister instructed Deputy Commissioner, Shabir Ahmed, not to allow any selective eviction from forest or other government land. He said that encroachments would be vacated and it will be ensured that the process is done in a total transparent and responsible manner.
Expressing dissatisfaction over slow pace of PMGSY works, minister instructed the department to show the results and sort out problems to streamline all PMGSY works. He also directed officers of Education Department to look into re-location of various schools in suitable places. He also showed concern over delay in disbursement of scholarship among Pahari students and also directed department to disburse ST scholarship among all remaining students.
Regarding non availability of water facility in government schools, Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali instructed Deputy Commissioner Rajouri to constitute a committee to check the actual situation on ground.
He said that he has received complaints that maximum schools are not having drinking water facility and this must be taken seriously and checked properly.
