NMC demands Rs 9,000 cr special fund for J&K

JAMMU: President, National Mazdoor Conference (NMC), Subash Shastri on Saturday appealed to Vice Chairman of Niti Ayog, Arvind Panigraian to earmarked Rs 9,000 crore as special fund at State Government disposal to ward off likely effect implementation of recommendations of Seventh Pay Commission alongwith incorporating financial implications of regularization of 61,000 daily rated workers.
Shastri also enjoined upon the State Government to reflect the same suitably in its annual plan 2016-17, while formulating and discussing the state financial position with Niti Ayog.
Shastri further stressed upon the State Chief Minister to take up the issue of grant of special package with the Prime Minister, Union Finance Minister to ameliorate the condition, the salaried class find themselves in.
Addressing a largely attended NMC workers meet here, Shastri expressed dismay in delay over the non implementation of empowered committee of group of secretaries report under the chairman ship of Union Cabinet Secretary R.K Sinha over the delay in implementation of recommendations of Seventh Pay Commission.
Shastri reminded the top leadership of NDA led government to fulfill its election promises and adopt a realistic approach to the solution of salaried class problems. Shastri expressed the hope that by taking these steps, the Jammu & Kashmir be the first state in the country to implement the revised pay scales/ pension for its employees and pensioners also.
Justifying the demand of clerical cadre to remove all inter cadre anomalies, Shastri expressed dismay over the continue procrastination by the high ups establishment over this issue.”The Finance Minister should personally intervene and settle this issue,” Shastri said.
Shastri also stressed upon the need to issue notification regarding the amount of wages of daily rated workers at national level to be raised ten thousand per month as has already been principal agreed by the centre Govt.
