NJCA holds protest, seeks restoration of Old Pension Scheme

JAMMU: A protest was held today at B.R Ambedkar Chowk, near the office of the Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, under the Leadership of Ganesh Khajuria, Chairman, Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum and Member Steering Committee National Joint Council of Action (NJCA), on the call given by Shiv Gopal Mishra, General Secretary AIRF and National Convener NJCA, in order to mount the pressure on the Government to concede the legitimate demand of the NPS Employees for the restoration of Old Pension Scheme in their favour.
Hundreds of employees of different Government Departments gathered at the venue and raised slogans in support of their genuine demand.
They were also carrying the placards demanding the Restoration of Old Pension Scheme instead of NPS in their favour demand.
While addressing the gathering on the occasion, Ganesh Khajuria crsicised the Government for adopting the callous approach towards the just , genuine and legitimate demand of the NPS Employees who are very much worried about their future life after the retirement as they will not get the adequate amount in the shape of their pension under the NPS Scheme.
He appealed to the Government to scrap the National Pension Scheme and restore the Old Pension Scheme in favour of all the government employees working under NPS Scheme.
Other senior leaders who participated in the Protest Demonstration included Surat Singh Toofani, Darshan Sharma, Shamber Singh, Gopal Singh, Prakash Chandra, Rajinder Gupta, Harpal Singh, Ravinder Singh, S.B Dass, Raj Singh Rajesh Sharma, Kuldeep Singh Bandral, Kuldeep Verma, J. P. Singh, P.D Singh, Gautam Singh, Bharat Bhushan Sharma, Daleep Digra, Pawan Sharma Gurmeet Singh, Ashwani Raina and others.
