JAMMU: Accusing the BJP-led Central Government particularly MHRD Ministry on their stand towards the NIT Srinagar students a large number of National Students Union of India (NSUI) activists, led by its State President Neeraj Kundan assembled in front of main gate of University of Jammu on Friday and raised slogans against MHRD, BJP and burnt the effigy of the MHRD Minister Smriti Irani.
While addressing the media persons, Kundan said that NSUI stood with the NIT students from day one and is fighting for their rights but till date not a single demand of the students has been accepted by the government.
Kundan added that the BJP is being exposed in this issue as they are not giving a single response towards the demands of the students.
Kundan said the double standards of the BJP about the nationalism are being exposed as their being the issue compared with the JNU one.
The NIT students are protesting for the last seven days but none of the minister, MLA from the BJP has approached them to listen to their demands, he said.
Other NSUI leaders present were Avijot Singh (State General Secretary), Ajay Kumar (National Delagate), Sunny Parihar (District President), Puneet Singh (State Coordinator), Arif Choudhary, Moomin and Arslan Malik.
