1,500 blood donation camps to be organised across India

JAMMU: National Integrated Forum of Artists and Activists (NIFAA) a leading socio-cultural organization of India has started, Samvedna an International blood and plasma donation awareness campaign.
The campaign commenced with a purpose to set up 1500 blood donation camps across the country and gather 90,000 units of blood on the 90th Martyrdom Day of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Raj Guru, Sukhdev, on the following 23rd March 2021.
Pritpal Singh Pannu, National Chairman of NIFAA in a press conference held in press Club on Sunday said that apart from all three martyrs families this campaign is getting support from prestigious personalities of the country.
“All blood donors will also get an appreciation certificate with digital signatures of associated celebrities and one family member of three incredible martyrs” said Pannu.
NIFAA Gen Secretary Parvesh Gaba, Tarun Uppal chairperson Nirbhay Bharat Foundation, Ashok Verma Chairman J&K New Young Blood Organisation, Sanjay Chairman Ansh Foundation, Advocate Zargar Executive Director National Human Rights also spoke on the occasion.
Pannu said that apart from all three martyrs families this campaign is getting support from prestigious personalities of the country from film, social service and sports arena.
Pannu told that in the past few years, India has seen an improvement in the blood assortment ranging from 9.8 million units in 2012-13 to 11.45 million in 2017-18. Parvesh Gaba who was also present in press conference, said that the accomplishment of this difficult but significant goal will come to an ease if we get the support and blessings of all likeminded social organizations.
“For this NIFAA will join hands with other social organizations to carry forward this campaign and furthermore incorporate other incredible personalities of the country. This campaign after effectively coordinated will also be included in the Guinness Book of World Records with the goal that this campaign of India should be discussed globally and becomes a beginning of the awareness of blood donation not only in India but all over the world” said Gaba.
