KARGIL: NHPC’s 45 MW Chutuk Hydel Project under its Corporate Social Responsibility Programme distributed 12 Sewing Machines among 10 unemployed women folk of Trespone, Sarchey and Chutuk on the concluding day of 3 months training programme here on Monday.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Kargil Moses Kunzang was the Chief Guest on the occasion. He distributed the sewing machines to the beneficiaries. Chief Engineer NHPC Chutuk Project Biswajit Basu and other officers of the Project were also present.
Moses Kunzung urged upon the trainees that they should venture upon establishing their own Income Generating Units by utilizing the knowhow which they have acquired during the training. He asked the beneficiaries to avail loans from banks and assured them that his office will extend all possible help in facilitating them to acquire loans.
He informed that the organisation has undertaken many works pertaining to social casue under its CSR Programme. “NHPC conducted trainings in driving, rafting, knitting and tailoring for providing required skills to unemployed youths”, he added.
