JAMMU: National Health Mission (NHM) employees of the Jammu and Kashmir State demanded framing of regularisation and transfer policies in their favour. In a convention held in the presence of Sushil Sudan, President Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federa-tion (JKMEF), various issues related to NHM cadre were discussed.
The demands that need immediate redressal raised by the employees include benefit of Maternity Leave/Earned Leave/ Baby Care Leave, enhancement of wages/incentives, in time release of salaries, fixed monthly honorarium in favour of ASHAs.
At the end of convention, District body of NHM Emp-loyees for Jammu District was framed unanimously besides Rohit Seth was unanimously elected as Prov-incial President of NHM Employees for Jammu Divi-sion. Surinder was nominated as President, Parminder Kaur-Working President, Dr Sushma Rani-Senior Vice President, Dr. Sumit-Vice Pre-sident, Varun and Sudanshu–Coordinators Jammu Urban, Vinod Kumar-Secretary Gen-eral, Jasmail Singh-General Secretary, Rishi Sharma-Cashier, Rocky Sharma-Secr-etary, Ashok Kumar-Joint Secretary, Nirmal Kumari-Organizer, Rashmi and Dr. Rajinder Singh-Advisors.
A deputation of NHM employees led by Rohit Seth under the supervision of Sushil Sudan later met with the Mission Director Dr. Mohan Singh and presented him a memorandum depicting various demands of the cadre.
