NGO expresses concern on law & order

UDHAMPUR: A delegation of ‘Guard of Justice and Human Rights’ State Body members met Deputy Inspector General of Police , Udhampur / Reasi Range and Senior Superintendent of Police, Udhampur.
Led by National Vice President Parshotam Singh along with State President Shashi Sharma, State Vice-President Mohan Lal Sharma, State Co-ordinator Ebby Cheryon and State Secretary Puneet Kumar Sharma, the delegation submitted a memorandum to the DIG and SSP, Udhampur.
The delegation discussed with them many important issues for the safety, security, prosperity and welfare of the people and maintaining law and order. In case the concerned officer of any Dept. is not present in the office the next senior – in -charge as per their competency /power should be authorised to handle the concerned issue and every government department should issue a telephone /mobile No for the conveniences of the people, as people come from far flung areas so as to avoid wastage of time and money so that the common man may not suffer.
It is also submitted by the delegates that at the time of arrest the arrested person is authorised under law to get legal opinion from the advocate and also intimate/ inform to the family members or close relative regarding status of the case and under law it is compulsory that the medical examination of the arrested person is done every 48 hours.
DIG and SSP gave assurance for their effective role in maintaining law and order and work for the welfare and prosperity of people by remaining completely determined to make corruption and crime free these districts.
