New volleyball court, water facility inaugurated at Mini Stadium Udhampur

UDHAMPUR: The Volleyball Association of District Udhampur has made significant strides in supporting local spikers by establishing a new volleyball court at Mini Stadium, Udhampur.
Recognizing the need for better infrastructure, the association stepped up to address the growing demands of budding volleyball players, as the existing court was inadequate to accommodate all the aspiring athletes.

In addition to constructing the new volleyball court, the association also facilitated the players by building a water tank within the stadium premises.
This new water facility ensures clean drinking water for players, addressing a long-standing issue that players had raised.
The improved infrastructure is aimed at enhancing the playing environment and supporting the well-being of the players.
The inauguration of both the new volleyball court and the water tank was conducted by Saloni Rai, the Deputy Commissioner Udhampur.
The ceremony was attended by several notable figures, including Ved Pymmy, Sunil Sharma, Upkar Singh, Ravi Vasandi, Ashok Kumar (Joint Secretary), and Ashok Padha (President of the Volleyball Association of Udhampur). Cadets from the National Cadet Corps (NCC) were also present, adding a sense of pride and enthusiasm to the occasion.
The Volleyball Association expressed heartfelt gratitude to Saloni Rai for her support and for granting permission to undertake these initiatives.
The association acknowledged her commitment to promoting sports and appreciated her efforts to improve facilities for young athletes in the district.
Speaking at the event, Ashok Padha emphasized the importance of creating an environment where young players can develop their skills.
He highlighted that the new court and water facility are crucial steps in providing better opportunities and resources for the youth.
