JAMMU: Dogra Brahmin Sabha Akhnoor, Bhagwan Shree Parshuram Temple Akhnoor, Chudamani Sanskrit Sansthan Vishwasthali, Central Sanskrit University, Shri Ranbir Campus Kot Bhalwal Jammu, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology Jammu and Shri Kailakh Astrology and Vedic Institute on occasion of birth centenary year of Dr Pandit Uttam Chand Pathak Shastri, organised a lecture with motto ‘Gehe Gehe Sanskritam’ for promotion and expansion of Sanskrit. Acharya Abhishek Kumar Upadhyay, Principal of Chudamani Sanskrit Sansthan explained preamble and purpose of programme.
Former Minister Sham Lal Sharma, was the Chief Guest on the occasion, said that there is a need to make society aware through the motto of Gehe Gehe Sanskritam. Expressing views, Shakti Kumar Pathak said that major element of Indian culture is Sanskrit language, from which our Sanatan culture has evolved.
Dr K K Sharma, who was the Guest of Honour, said that time to come is going to be of subtle energy which is already described in Vedas. Prof J P Sharma, while incorporating points of all scholars, said that as offering food to God with true feelings makes it Prasad, water becomes Charnodak, similarly Saral Bhasha becomes Amrit Bhasha when we read scriptures in Sanskrit.
Others present on the occasion included Sant Raghav Das, Rakesh Gandotra, Dev Dutt Shastri, Thodo Ram, Rajesh Langar, Pawan Khajuria, Harsh Sharma, Rakesh Shastri, Mangu Ram, Bhushan Bral, Kulbushan Sharma, Raman Mishra, Dayal Khajuria, K D Sharma, Labha Ram, Ram Rattan and Mohan Lal.
