NCB arrests two traffickers with 3.015 Kg Charas

One lady trafficker arrested in follow up action

JAMMU: Keeping its commitment to combat drug trafficking in the region, Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Jammu seized 3.015 Kg. Charas on September 11, 2024 at NH-44, Sainik Colony, Jammu and registered case CR-18/2024/
In this connection, two persons namely Deepak Goyal and Kailash Goyal, both resident of Ajmer, Rajasthan were arrested. Initial investigation has revealed that the seized Charas was supplied from Srinagar and further it was destined to Ajmer, Rajasthan.
The seized Charas was supplied by a lady named Aisha alias Aapa, wife of Md. Yousuf Bhat alias Shabir Bhat, resident of Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir.
Accordingly, a team of NCB alongwith Anantnag Police arrested the said Charas Supplier on Thursday. Till now, three arrests have taken place.
In the wake of upcoming Legislative Assembly elections, NCB has geared up its preparation to tackle the drug menace and its possible misuse in the election scenario. Being the national nodal agency for drug law enforcement, it has geared itself to stop the supply of drugs in the region.
