BILLAWAR : State Vice President National Conference Th Kashmira Singh on Thursday asked reactionary forces to shun the path of dividing the people for their petty political interests, saying Jammu and Kashmir is a repository of glorious pluralistic ethos.
“Those dividing the people in the name of region or religion have actually no agenda and hence they are indulging in vitiating the atmosphere and polarising the situation”, Th Kashmira Singh said while addressing a rally held in support of Romi Khajuria, National Conference candidate from Billawar.
The rally comprising various modes of transport from Ramkot to Billawar with supporters sought votes for Khajuria.
Singh also castigated BJP, PDP and Congress for pursuing the agenda of hoodwinking public opinion by indulging in rhetoric and unleashing malicious campaign against National Conference. He exuded confidence that the people will defeat these divisive forces and vote back his party to power with Omar Abdullah forming a stable and strong government.
Speaking on the occasion, Romi Khajuria assured the people that he will strive for ensuring holistic development and satiating the urges of the people. He said he will vigorously pursue the agenda of National Conference and ensure implementation of various welfare programmes for old, women and young people.
Khajuria said the need of hour was to strengthen the hands of Omar Abdullah for forming a strong government and carrying forward the agenda taken up in 2008 with renewed energy and vigour.
