NC rues blackmarketing, shortage of ration

JAMMU: Alleging non-availability of ration supply for the economically weaker sections of the State, National Conference (NC) on Friday said that poor people of State are suffering due to the ration shortage in government depots.
This was stated by NC Spokesperson and senior leader Surinder Singh Bunty while addressing the people in Gadigarh area of Gandhi Nagar Constituency.
The residents apprised the NC leader about various problems including shortage of ration, which is not being supplied to them.
While expressing serious concern about the non availability of ration at government ration depots, Bunty took a dig at BJP-PDP alliance and blamed them for their failure and said that they have been befooling people for their so called steps in streamlining the system.
“The poor people are suffering badly as they are unable to buy ration from the market due to the continuous price rise of essential commodities”, he said.
He also alleged that the poor masses of State are facing miseries as for the last three months there is no regularity in the ration supply while the black marketing of the ration is continuing thus adding to the suffering of the people.
He decried the tall claims of the previous PDP-BJP Government and said that promises made to the people proved to be hoax. He criticised the previous government for implementation of the National Food Security Act, describing it anti people .
Later, the spokesperson distributed blankets among the needy.
