JAMMU: Senior National Conference leaders on Tuesday made a fervent appeal to the voters of Jammu East Constituency to lend their wholehearted support to Bimla Luthra for ensuring faster growth and development of Jammu.
State Vice President, Rattan Lal Gupta and Provincial Secretary, Sheikh Bashir Ahmed said that National Conference has all along been working for the uplift and progress of Jammu city, which has emerged as a premier destination for Shri Mata Vaishno Devi pilgrims and Kashmir bound tourists.
“All efforts are being made towards holistic development of the city which are showing discernible results in each sector”, Gupta added.
Sheikh Bashir Ahmed exuded confidence about massive victory of the National Conference candidates at the strength of the people’s support to the policies and programmes of the party being implemented by Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah with sincerity of purpose.
Referring to various innovative measures taken over during the past six years, these leaders said that party has brought a complete turnaround in the overall profile of Jammu and Kashmir. They also referred to creation of new administrative units and said these will go a long way in bringing administration at the doorsteps of the people and resultant step up in the developmental tempo.
They urged the people, especially youth, to work for massive victory of National Conference to strengthen the hands of Dr Farooq Abdullah and Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah.
The party candidate, Bimla Luthra and In-charge Grievance Cell, Anil Dhar also addressed the party cadre and sought a massive vote for National Conference in the ensuing elections.
Ayub Malik, Veena Oberia, S. Peter, Jugal Mahajan, Dalbir Singh, Pardeep Bali, Ravi Mahajan, G.H Malik, Raja Naveed, Vinod Tak, Waris Gill, Manveer Kour, Sarooj Gupta, Dr. Madan, Dilshad Malik, Reeta Gupta, Rajesh Kohli, Om Bali and Aftab Manhas were also present.
