NC create uproar in J&K Assembly over power crisis in snow hit Kashmir, stages walkout

JAMMU: Opposition members from National Conference today created uproar over power crisis in Jammu and Kashmir Assembly here.
As soon as the House proceedings resumed, NC members raised issue of power crisis in the Kashmir valley.
NC members slammed government for no governance on ground and asked Speaker’s Chair to issue directions to the government to address the issues of people.
Meanwhile NC, Congress and BJP MLAs also advocated for opening of Chenani-Nashri Tunnel, which will bring relief to people from national highway gets blocked due to snowfall.
The members said that opening of tunnel will also reduce stretch from both the sides.
Meanwhile not satisfied with the reply by Deputy Chief Minister, who hold power portfolio, NC members amid noisy scenes staged protest.
In chair Deputy Speaker Nazir Ahmed Gurezi directed to marshal out Asgar Ali Karbalai for creating ruckus.
Later entire opposition staged walkout in the Assembly.
