RAMBAN: District President National Conference Ramban Sajjad Shaheen on Thursday accused PDP-BJP Government of politicising administrative matters by putting into back-burner the decisions of the previous government, saying this is utterly undemocratic.During his interaction with people of the Neel Valley in Banihal Assembly Constituency, Shaheen regretted that despite provision of Rs 3 crore made by the Omar led government no headway has been made in making the Block Office at Neel and Tehsil Office at Ramsoo functional.
He said the vindictive and anti-people policies of the present dispensation are going to boomerang, as the public patience is waning. He sought immediate functioning of these administrative units, as these were sanctioned for taking the administration at peoples’ doorsteps.
Shaheen also took exception to the inertia of the government in meeting legitimate aspirations of the people. He said while no attention is being paid towards improving the dilapidated roads, the people are suffering for want of timely supply of rations and medicare facilities. He said the power supply in the Neel Valley is in shambles, which needs immediate attention by the concerned agency.
The District President urged the administration to expedite work on Neel-Hewgan Road and ensure deployment of adequate staff in the health centres.
Shaheen also held workers meeting in the area in which the block functionaries of Neel participated. Those who were present on the occasion include Sarpanch Gh Rasool Deng, Sarpanch Parvez Ahmed, Haji Yasin Deng, Mohd Khalil Sohil, Mushraf Naik, Manzoor Ahmed, Ch Nizam Din, Mohd Ashraf Koka, Ch Gh Hussain and others.
