KATHUA: In order to ensure arrangements for ensuing Navratra festival commencing from 25th September 2014, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Kathua Suraj Parkash Rukwal convened a meeting of officers here at DC Office Complex on Monday.
ACR Kathua held detail deliberations with officers and directed them to make all necessary arrangements to facilitate the smooth handling of the visits of the devotees during Navratras. Arrangements like transportation, sanitation, adequate drinking water, un-interrupter power supply, first aid facilities, check on quality of eatables and their rates besides security arrangements were also thoroughly discussed in the meeting.
The ACR directed the PWD officers for the repair of bridle paths leading to the temples and shrines. The PHE Department was directed to ensure regular supply of drinking potable water at the shrines and important Yatra path routes. The PDD was also directed to ensure un-interrupted power supply to all the shrines. Barricading for the benefit of devotees was also discussed in the meeting.
Chief Medical Officer, Kathua was directed to make available necessary medical facilities at all the shrines with life saving drugs first aid along with team of doctors.
The ACR directed the CAPD officials to check the quality of eatables along with their rates in the markets and around temples and shrines area.
The members of management committees/ Pujaris of Temples and Shrines projected various problems and demands for which the ACR directed the concerned officers for their mitigation.
SDM Hiranagar, Tehsildar HQ, Tehsildar Hiranagar, officers of line and work departments and Pujaris of temples were present.
