KATHUA: Two mesmerising performances of theatre and dance hosted by Chenab Textiles Mills Limited enthralled the audience here this evening at the auditorium of CTM, Kathua. Presented by internationally acclaimed theatre group Natrang of Jammu both the performances were conceived, designed and directed by Balwant Thakur. Earlier welcoming the august gathering of the elite of Kathua District which included Kathua MLA Rajeev Jasrotia, government officials and prominent citizens, the Executive President of Chenab Textiles Mills Limited. K.C Sharma said that CTM Kathua takes pride in showcasing the best of the performing arts of the region for the people of Kathua with the motive that such highly accomplished artistic creations will not only entertain and educate the audiences but also aspire them to achieve high professional standards.
In the past also people of Kathua have been fortunate to have witnessed Balwant Thakur’s internationally acclaimed creations like Baba Jito, Ghumayee and Suno Tagore Di and CTM will continue to showcase such acclaimed presentations.
The first show was Mere Hisse Ki Dhoop Kahan Hai – a highly educative play by young artists, written and directed by Balwant Thakur and the second presentation Celebrating Diversity a dance based show of Natrang which very recently was showcased in London was the ultimate cultural treat showcasing the immense diversity of the State of Jammu and Kashmir.
