Natrang stages Damaad in Sunday theatre series

JAMMU: Natrang staged Hindi play, ‘Damaad’ in its weekly theatre series here on Sunday. The play has been written by Suraj Singh Hindol and directed by Neeraj Kant.
Principal Secretary to Governor J and K, Rakesh Gupta was also present.
The election season highlighted in the play appeared so much related to our State where elections are on and so are intensive election campaigns. The play carried a very interesting plot in which all the confusion and drama was created because a message was wrongly deciphered. In a locality, where municipal elections were going on and all the contestants have intensified their efforts to get more and more votes. The play gave a satirical account of candidates luring the voters in different ways besides depicting the acumen of today’s electorate which is smart enough to judge their strides.
Actors Rajan Thakyal, Namrata Chib, Juhi Singh, Pankaj Verma, Amit Raina, Masood Qadir, Arun Sharma and Shekher Sharma through their lively performances created an ambience which was highly applauded. Lights were operated by Neeraj Kant and the show was coordinated by Mohammad Yaseen.
