RAMBAN: Deputy Inspec-tor General (DIG) (DKR) Nisar Ahmed, Brig. K.P Singh, SSP, Ramban, Randeep Kumar and Commandant IRP 9th Rajesh Sharma led the officers and personnel of J and K Police, J and K IRP Bn 9 and CRPF in paying floral tributes to the martyrs on National Police Commemoration Day observed at Shaheed Samarak in the District Police Lines of Ramban today.
Their photographs were garlanded and traditional police salute with ‘Shok Shashtra’ (turning their weapons up-side down) was performed by the Armed Police personnel.
In the beginning of the function DIG, read out the names and ranks of all 473 martyrs including 48 of JKP, who were martyred in J and K since September 2016.
ASP, Mushtaq Choudhary was among other police officers present on the occasion.
Similar function was also organised by Battalion CRPF 84 at Government Higher Secondary School Ramba. Deputy Commandant 84 Battalion and Principal of the School Ashok Kumar paid tribute to the martyred.
CT/DVR Mushtaq Ahmed of village Parnote who was one of the student of the said school got martyred in an encounter with naxals at district Dhantewada of Chatisgarh on 2nd February, 2016.
NOWSHERA: National Police Day celebrated at Boys Hr Sec School Nowshera. On this occasion supreme sacrifice of its brave martyr was remembered. Staff and students paid rich tribute to the brave police men who sacrificed themselves while performing their duties. Prominent who spoke on the occasion included Rakesh Choudhary, St Gurcharn Singh, Kulbeer Singh and Sub Inspector Lakhbheer Singh.
SAMBA: On the occasion of National Police Day, a blood donation camp was organised at District Police Lines Samba wherein officers and officials of police donated blood. The camp was inaugurated by Chander Prakash Ganga, Minister in presence of MoS Rashpal Verma, MLA Samba Dr Davinder Manyal, SSP Samba Joginder Singh and others. The team from Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar as directed by Medical Superintendent Dr Madhuri Slathia was led by Dr Arun Sharma Dy Medical Superintendent and included Blood Bank Officer Dr Arifa, Incharge Blood Bank Gurdeep Singh, Manoj Blood Bank Technician, Shubam Sharma, Sumit Maini, Shubam Kumar and Megha, along with blood storage van from Dept of Transfusion Medicine Medical College Jammu.
REASI: Police Commemoration Day was also observed in district Reasi in the memory of martyrs who sacrificed their lives while performing their duties and dignitaries paid homage to them at DPL Reasi. The parade was attended by officers from civil / police administration /CRPF/ CISF/army which includes prominent citizens as well as media persons of district Reasi. Besides families of martyrs also witnessed the Commemoration Day Parade held at DPL Reasi.
After culmination of parade Tahir Sajad Bhat, District SSP alongwith Ravinder Kumar, Deputy Commissioner Reasi distributed blankets to the next of kin of martyrs as a token of respect.
VIJAYPUR: Police Commemoration Day was observed in Police Technical Training Institute (PTTI) Vijaypur to pay tributes to the police martyrs who sacrificed their precious lives while serving the nation. Ranjit Kanwar, SSP (Principal) PTTI Vijaypur presided over the function and read the names of all 473 security personnel who sacrificed their lives while performing their duties between 1st September 2015 to 31st August 2016 across the country, of which 23 personnel of J and K Police, 10 of BSF, 11 of CRPF and two each of ITBP and SSB attained martyrdom in J and K State. An impressive Commemoration Parade was held as a mark of respect to the martyred security officials.
Ranjit Kanwar, SSP (Principal), Vijay Kumar, Vice Principal, Ram Singh Jamwal, Dy.SP (Admn.), Satish Sharma, Dy.SP (Tech.), Madan Lai, Dy.SP (Outdoor), Puran Chand, Dy.SP (Estates) Riaz Ahmed, Sr.PO and staff/trainees of PTTI Vijaypur laid wreaths on the martyrs memorial.
KATHUA: To pay the homage to martyrs a function was organised at Govt. HSS Budhi (Kathua) in collaboration with BSF 80 Bn Penthi Samba and Distt. Police Kathua in which floral tributes were paid on the portraits of the students of this school namely Shaheed Ct. Labh Singh (BSF) resident of Thanoon and Shaheed Ct. Mahesh Kumar (JKP) resident of Barnoti who made supreme sacrifice for the sake of the nation.
Meanwhile, Kathua Police today observed Police Commemoration Day in the memory of police martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the nation. SSP Kathua Pawan Parihar along with senior police officers of district Kathua paid floral tributes to police martyrs on Police Commemoration Day also known as National Police Day.
On the occasion Sanjeev Khajuria Principal, PTS Kathua, Khahil Poswal, Addl. SP Kathua, Ajay Sharma Dy. SP HQRS Kathua , Kuljeet Singh Dy. SP DAR DPL Kathua alongwith other Police Officers/Officials and prominent citizens of Kathua town were also present.
Mohd. Indress Wani, Dy SP (Pros) commanded the Commemoration Parade.
UDHAMPUR: Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy Udhampur observed National Police Commemoration Day.
On the occasion, Rajesh Kumar, Director SKPA read out the list of police personnel who laid down their lives for the country during the year which was followed by ‘reverse arms’ in commemoration of the Police Martyrs. After the commemoration parade, director and other police officers laid wreaths at the Martyrs Memorial.
Besides this the director stressed upon all staff and trainee to work with full dedication.
DODA: National Police Day was observed at District Police Lines Doda.
DDC Doda Bhupinder Kumar, SSP Doda Zahid Naseem Manhas and officers from polce and civil administration paid tributes to the martyrs .
While paying tributes to the martyrs SSP Doda said that the day is of special significance for the policemen .He also read out the names of all the martyrs, who sacrificed their lives for the Nation.
