JAMMU: As the nation is heading towards skill development, JK Public School, Kunjwani organised two-day National Level Competition on Robotic programme in the school premises which concluded on Thursday.
The two-day Techtron- Robotic National Level Competition was held in JK Public School, Kunjwani in association with ELAN-2017, IIT Hyderabad in which around hundred students of different schools of Jammu province participated.
The module of the workshop was ‘Wireless and Autonomous Robotics’. The first round of the event was a workshop in which students were taught about the world of robotics by the Research Engineers Durga Prasad and Anurag Bhanbewaal from IIT Hyderabad. They were the resource persons for this programme.
Today, in the second session a competition was organised for the participants. They were provided with the Robotics kits to showcase their skills by installing the Robots.
In Wireless Robotics, all the three positions were bagged by JK Public School, Kunjwani. In Autonomous Robotics, Army Public School (APS), Kaluchak bagged first position while JK Public School clinched both second and third position. Director, JK Educational Society, Brig. Sukhdev Singh felicitated the winners of the competition and applauded them for showing excellent skills.
While interacting with students, Singh stressed on the skill development and urged students to take active part in such activities. He appreciated the efforts of school management and IIT Hyderabad for providing an opportunity to the students to compete on national platform.
He also congratulated the winners for reaching to the next level of competition which will be taking place in IIT Hyderabad in January.
