Leh: The Army flagged off a National Integration Tour (NIT) from Leh to cities in north India including Chandigarh and Amritsar under ‘Op Sadbhavana’.
The educational-cum-motivational tour comprising of 15 students of Nari Nakeetan and Bal Ashram Leh was flagged off
by GOC Fire and Fury Corps to other parts of the country, Defence Spokesperson, Ministry of Defence, S.D Goswami said.
The tour, he said, is planned by service Aircraft from Leh to Chandigarh and back and the students will get an opportunity to see Sukna Lake, Rock Garden and Elante Mall in the well planned capital city of Chandigarh.
At Amritsar, he added, the students will visit to Jallianwala Bagh and Golden Temple. They will also be witnessing the traditional Retreat Drill at Wagah Border.
