National climber alleges discrimination

JAMMU: The Jammu based climber has alleged that his coach has been discriminating with him. Talking to reporters here on Thursday, Aman Dogra, a Jammu based climber, said he won national championship in 2015 and represented India in Tehran in 2016.
Despite winning national and international level, he alleged that his coach ignored him and sent a State team to Delhi for practice without informing him.
He said that he had won gold medal in speed event and questioned his coach that why he ignored him by not sending him to speed world cup.
Every player dreams to start his career from grass root level and then go on to play at national and international level. However, when custodians of the game don’t take care of deserving player, how a player can achieve dream of reaching international level? he questioned.
He appealed to State Government and J and K State Sports Council to intervene and help him in securing his future and that of next generation of climbers.
