UDHAMPUR: Minister of State for Finance and Planning, Ajay Nanda on Tuesday inaugurated works for 2.5 Km macadamization of Bansa to Muttal road under State scheme, being constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 78.27 lakh.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that Government is committed to provide transparent and good governance to the people of the state besides ensuring availability of basic amenities at their doorsteps with special focus on Rural and far-flung areas.
While addressing the public meet at Muttal, the Minister urged all officers to work in tandem with concerned agencies to ensure people’s problems are resolved at the earliest. Stating that the main objective of holding public grievances camps is to address problems of the people, he urged people and authorities to maintain open channels of communication for effective governance.
During the public grievances redressal camp, people of the area put forth various demands like enhancement of road connectivity, rationalization of staff in Government schools, Water and power supply concerns etc.
The minister gave patient hearing to the demands and problems of the people and directed the concerned officers to take necessary action.
He directed the concerned officers of various departments to organize awareness camps to educate people about the welfare schemes.
Executive Engineer Division Katra, Hem Raj Langeh AEE, Vinod Sabarwal, besides other officers and officials of different departments and large number of prominent citizen were present on the occasion.
