Nagar Kirtan taken out with religious fervor

SUNDERBANI/NOWSHERA: On the connection of 351st Parkash Utsav of Guru Govind Singh Ji, the Sikh community today took out an impressive Nagar Kirtan in blocks Sunderbani and Nowshera.

In Sunderbani Nagar Kirtan started from Gurudwara Singh Sabha Thanda Pani to Gurudwara Singh Sabha Sunderbani and in Nowshera from Gurudwara Chhatti Patshai to bus stand Nowshera. The Holy Guru Granth Sahib was kept on the decorated vehicles led by Panj Piyaras attired traditionally. A large number of Sangat irrespective of caste, creed and colour participated including women and children.  Raagi Jathas and Dhadi Jathas recited Gurbani Kirtan and heroic poems related to the Sikh history. The lecturers in this procession also narrated the history of various battles which Guru Gobind Singh Ji fought with a small number of Sikhs against Mughals having an army of lakhs of soldiers.

The Sikh youths exhibited the martial art (Gatka) with various types of actions. Players along with Gartka martial art party displayed dangerous skills. The Gatka teams included Sunderbani Janbaaz Khalsa Gatka party Jammu, Baba Ajeet Singh Gatka Akhada Sunderbani and Khalsa Commando Force Gatka Party Nowshera. The dangerous skills were displayed by Zorawar Singh Khalsa Black Belt were the centre of attraction.

Number of reception arches and stalls were established enroute where Sangat was served with tea, snacks, sweets and fruits.

The administration and the police fully cooperated during this Nagar Kirtan for which the Gurdwara Prabandak Committee  expressed their gratitude.

Prominent among those present in the Nagar Kirtan included President Gurudwara Chhati Patshai Nowshera Baljeet Singh ex Sarpanch Isher Singh, social worker Nanak Singh, social worker Harbaksh Singh Khalsa, President of District Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee (DGPC) Rajouri Bhopinder Singh Tiger and Tarlochan Singh.

R S PURA:  A Vishal Nagar Kirtan was taken out in RS Pura on Wednesday on the occasion of Prakash Divas of Guru Gobind Singh.  The Nagar Kirtan started from Gurdwara Kotli Shah Daula which passed through village Thikrian, Bagggamarh, Gogiyan, Chouhala Morh, Main Bazar of RS Pura and finally culminated in Central Gurdwara. Thousands of devotees including men, women, children from all walks of life participated in the Nagar Kirtan.  The procession was organised by the Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee in which Raagi Jathas and Parcharaks recited Gurbani Kirtan and narrated the Sikh history.

KATHUA: An impressive Nagar Kirtan was taken out to celebrate the forthcoming 351st Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, who sacrificed his whole family for the sake of humanity and protection of right cause of community.

Nagar Kirtan started from Mukharji Chowk, Kathua, passing through Jarai Chowk, Parliwand, Old Bus Stand, Shastrinagar, Sawan Chack and culminated at Shahidi Chowk Kathua.

Number of stalls were established enroute where sangat was served with tea,  snacks and other eatables.

The programme was organised by DGPC  Kathua. District  President Charanjeet Singh Bhola,  Navjot Singh,  Amrik Singh, Kuldeep Singh, Daljeet Singh. Prominent among others present included SSP Kathua Mohd. Suleman Choudhary, DSP (Hq.) S.S Sambyal, SHO Anil Sharma, Ex- President M.C Naresh Sharma, N.C Vice President K.K Bakshi, B.S.P leader Somnath Majotra, Ashwani Gupta, Pawan Sharma , Pankaj Dogra, Jatinder Singh Papu, ex.MLA Dhain Chand  and Nardosh Sharma.
