NABARD conducts Financial Literary Camp

RAMBAN: A Financial Literary Camp (FLC) was conducted by NABARD in Village Rajgarh of Dist Ramban on Wednesday. The programme was attended by Mohd Illiyas Wani LDM Ramban, Mohan Singh FLCC Ramban, Amrik Singh Faculty RSETI, Mohd Shafi Zargar Sarpanch Rajgarh, Imtiyaz Ahmed CSC JK Bank Branch Chanderkote and more than 70 villagers.
Nikhil Sharma, APM NABARD informed the villagers and motivated them to save, especially with bank, with reasons for why to save, where to save, how to save. Further various saving schemes like saving accounts, recurring deposits, term deposits were explained to them for their benefits. Villagers were informed especially about KCC and Bhoomiheen Kissan Yojana being launched wherein landless labourers and tenant farmers can also avail KCC by forming Joint Farmer Groups. LDM Ramban discussed with the villagers, the recent programme of Pradhan Mantri Jan DhanYojna and its benefits like insurance, overdraft were also explained. Besides this, FLCC Ramban discussed various loan schemes and the formalities involved in availing such schemes. Represntative from RSETI informed the gathering about the various Self-employment Trainings that are being provided by RSETI.
The aim of the programme was to create awareness among the general public regarding the various financial products that are being offered by bank to general public. Sarpanch Rajgarh, thanked NABARD for conducting such awareness programme and stressed that more such programme should be conducted in future.
