SRINAGAR: While strongly anguished and distressed on mass scale prosecution and terror unleashed against minority community particularly against Muslims in Myanmar, Kashmir Society Chairman Khwaja Farooq Renzushah said that it is responsibility of all civilized citizens to raise their voice for their protection.

While presiding in a meeting of distinguished members on this issue, Renzushah appealed to the Prime Minister to play its role to punish Myanmar to stop her terror tactics. He said that in past West Pakistan refugees and Tibetans were temporarily given shelter in J and K on humanitarian grounds and same way Rohingya of Myanmar should be allowed to get shelter in Jammu or Kashmir.

“The Tibetan quarters in Eidgah or quarters built for Kashmiri Pandits or West Pakistan Refugees can also be properly utilised to provide temporarily shelter to Myanmar’s Rohingya who are facing worst kind of terror, being burnt alive and their women are being raped.

He said UNO should come out of its slumber and save Muslims of Myanmar otherwise world will get impression that Myanmar has international mandate to wipe out Muslim minority.

This is time for all Hindus and Muslims to stand together to raise strong voice to save humanity. No human rights violation should be allowed or tolerated in any part of world and one need not to be blind to what is happening in Myanmar, he added.
