The opening of the Mughal Road would provide alternate connectivity to the Kashmir valley with Jammu region as the commuters are subjected to lot of hardships due to frequent closure of the existing Srinagar-Jammu highway.
Pertinent to mention that, the tunnel on Mughal Road from Chatta Pani to Zazinar stands approved and its completion would reduce the distance by 28 Kms and making it an all weather road.
