Mubarak inspects upcoming housing colonies

JAMMU: Vice Chairman JDA, Mubarak Singh on Tuesday inspected the ongoing construction works at upcoming Housing Colonies at Gole Gujral, Roop Nagar, Muthi, Talli Morh, Jagti, Nagrota, etc.
He inspected the ongoing works at Vegetable Market Commercial Complex and flats at Muthi. He issued on the spot instructions to Superintending Engineer JDA and other officers of engineering wing to pace up the execution of works. He also stressed on completing the projects within the stipulated time, as construction of 72 flats and commercial complex have been taken up under self financing basis and directed that no revision or cost escalation in all these projects shall be permissible.
He also visited the sites at Jagti and Nagrota for proposed Housing Colonies. It was disclosed that JDA is proposing to develop approximately 400 residential plots in these two colonies besides developing residential plots for which the proposal is being submitted to the higher authorities.
The Vice Chairman JDA also visited the village Kore Jagir and directed the enforcement staff to ensure that land belonging to JDA is free from encroachment. The Vice Chairman further directed that the prime lands in different areas be protected by the construction of fencing and affixing the sign-boards of JDA. He issued directions to Director Land Management JDA to gear up the field functionaries of the enforcement wing to ensure that all the lands/properties of JDA are protected from the encroachments. It was also disclosed that JDA has recently developed four Housing Colonies at Gole Gujral, Kot Bhalwal, Roop Nagar and Birpur and 1,610 plots have been allotted and infrastructure in these colonies is being developed by JDA.
The Secretary, DLM, SE, CTP, Senior Architect and Executive Engineer accompanied the Vice Chairman JDA.
