Nowshera: Middle School (MS) Qasba Pain won kho-kho and volleyball title in the Inter-school under-14 tournament for girls of Nowshera Zone, organized by Department of Youth Services and Sports, Rajouri at Boys higher Secondary School Nowshera, which concluded on Wednesday.
MS Qasba Pain won kho-kho title defeating opponent by one inning and two points while MS Qusba Pain bagged volleyball title outplaying MS Kalsian by 2-0 (25-20,25-15) sets. Kabaddi title was went to GMS Cowki Handan which beat MS Ganiah by seven (17-10) points.
In the closing ceremony, Chief Guest, Sukesh Prabha, Principle of the host school, gave away prizes among winner and runner up teams.
Today’s matches were officiated by Surjeet Singh, Rajesh Chowdhary, Attamjeet Singh, Satish Kumar and Kuldeep Singh.
Tournament was organized under the charge of Gulzar Ahmed ZPEO Nowshera. Rakesh Chowdhary presented vote of thanks.

Zonal level Inter-school tournament gets underway

UDHAMPUR: Two-day Zonal level Inter-school tournament for U/14 and U/17 (boys and girls) of Udhampur Zone in the disciplines of Vollayball, Kho-Kho and Kabaddi got underway at Mini Stadium, here on Wednesday.
About 264 girls drawn from 18 institutions of Zone participated in the tournament.
District Youth Services and Sports Officer Udhampur, Sunil Singh Samyal was the Chief Guest who declared the tournament open in the presence of Guest of Honour, Pawan Kumar Sharma, Zonal Physical Education Officer Panchari.
Earlier, Zonal Physical Education Officer Udhampur, Santosh Kumari welcomed the Chief Guest and presented a brief report of the tournament.
The Chief Guest said the games and sports plays a vital role in the all-round development of the students and stressed upon the students to take more part in such competitions.
The tournament is being organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports under the supervision of Santosh Kumari ZPEO Udhampur.
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Jasvinder Singh PEM.
The matches were officiated by Vishnu Devi, Pushpinder Kour, Naveen Sharma, Raj Kumar, Rakesh Sawhny, Pushap Kumar, Renu Thaplu, Komaljeet Kour, Sandeep Kour, Kanchan Sharma, Vijay Kumari, Ranvir Singh and Pooja Devi.

GIRLS: under-14 Kho-Kho: Little Flowers Convent High School defeated KC Gurukul Public School by eight points. Kabaddi: High School Garhi beat Middle School Rathian by eight points.
Under-17: Kho-Kho: High School Malhar outplayed High School Battalbalian by four points. Kabaddi: High Sschool Garhi trounced High School Jhakhar by six points. Volleyball: High School Molhar downed High School BattalBalian by straight two sets.
