MP Khatana unveils multiple development projects

JAMMU: Senior BJP leader and Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament Er. Ghulam Ali Khatana inaugurated a series of vital infrastructure and community development projects on Tuesday across the Bahu and Jammu North constituencies.

At Narwal Bala, MP Khatana inaugurated a newly constructed cremation shed, a much-needed facility completed under the MPLADS scheme. The event was attended by municipal and engineering officials, and to commemorate the occasion, the MP also planted a sapling within the premises, reinforcing a message of environmental responsibility.
Moving to Middle School, Kiryani Talab, the MP unveiled several upgrades including the installation of a new water cooler, tiled flooring, and renovated washrooms for the benefit of students and staff. The Block Development Officer and school leadership were present during the inauguration. MP Khatana also responded to a local concern by pledging immediate repairs to a nearby pond to prevent water seepage into the school premises.
A long-standing public demand was addressed with the fresh surfacing of the Narwal-Raika Link Road. This critical infrastructure upgrade promises smoother commutes and better connectivity for residents. The road project saw participation from local BJP leaders and a large number of community members, highlighting its significance to the area.
In Upper Thather, MP Khatana inaugurated a newly constructed multi-purpose community shed. Designed to serve as a venue for Panchayat meetings and other community events, the facility is expected to become a focal point for local gatherings and civic engagement.
MP Khatana was accompanied by DDC Chairman Bharat Bhushan, former MLA Sham Lal Sharma, DDC member Nitu, and other senior BJP leaders and officials during the visits. In his address, he reiterated the BJP’s dedication to inclusive, grassroots-level development, guided by the vision and leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
