STATE TIMES NEWS
JAMMU: EJAC leaders will fight against any move to weaken the employees’ movement. This was stated by Chairman Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC), A.Q Wani while addressing a meeting of EJAC leaders here on Friday.
He directed EJAC leaders to gear up to combat nefarious designs of enemies of employees’ movement.
The meeting highlighted the genuine demands of the Government employees and public sector employees particularly the demands regarding regularization of temporary employees.
Wani alleged that State Government seems to be non serious regarding employees’ issues and some bureaucrats under the influence of their political bosses are hatching the conspiracy against the employees’ movement especially in the Education Department. He warned that anybody having ill intentions regarding trade union movement will be dealt with iron hands and state Government will be responsible for the consequences.
“It is unfortunate that on one side we are celebrating Women’s Day and talking high about the empowerment of the women and the other side women working under KGBV scheme are facing harassment and are on hunger strike for the last many days”, he said and urged Governor to intervene and ensure justice to them. He also reiterated the demands and projected the hardships faced by them.
