Motherhood of all mothers

Tara Chand Bhagat

Indeed it would not be an exaggeration to say that all the days of the year are equal in terms of day hood. But there are certain super days such as Ram Navmi, Janmashtmi, Valmiki Jayanti, Purshuram Jayanti, Lord Buddha Jayanti, Sant Kabir Jayanti, Guru Nanak Jayanti, Guru Ravidas Jayanti depict religious ferver, revelation, spiritualism and greater message of universal brotherhood, casteless society, high ideals of maryada purshottam Lord Rama to be followed by all mankind and Lord Krishna who narrated 18 chapters of the Holy Gita to the Pandava Prince Arjuna giving His discourse that I am the Supreme Being and all your relatives are the children of the Same Being; so try to see my varat roop through spiritual power I have bestowed upon you. Likewise birth anniversaries of great men like Gandhi, Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel, Netaji Subash Chandra Bose, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar are also celebrated for their commendable work they had done to the nation of the country. It was Sardar Patel who got united 560 princely states into one country. By uniting the so-called self styled units into one union was really a herculean task rather a marvelous and unmatchable one. Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, a great visionary ahead of his times and a for sighting personality architected a comprehensive constitution comprising of 395 articles and 16 schedules for governing over free India. Mahatma Gandhi along with his associates like the moderates, did a yeoman’s work to liberate India from the clutches of the British Rulers initiating Quit India Movement against them. Neta Ji Subash Chandra Bose who belonged to extremists, established INA to fight against the British to make India free. Neta ji was a great patriot. The British had forecast that soon India would become slave whereas their forecasting has been proved to be untrue and quite impossible. Since during the regime of the Prime Ministership of Narendra Modi, rather India is striving towards becoming Vishaw Guru to be whole world.
Today is the super day on which mother’s day is going to be celebrated throughout the country. Mother’s day has got greater significance of its own because mother is a quintessence of adore, bliss, sacrifice, optimum and idealism, precision and fidelity for a child. A mother accepts a child when child is nothing but a congealed mass of blood in her womb. She starts loving a child when he has not even developed heartbeat. Really child-mother relation is heavenly. It is because of this all the religious scriptures of world have mentioned the significance of mother in one’s life. In accordance with the Holy Quran, “We have enjoined on mankindness to his parents; in pain did his mother bear him and in pain did she give birth. “Quran further says, Worship Allah and join not any partner with Him and be kind to your parents. Islam command, kindness, respect and obedience to his parents and specially emphasizes to give preferences to ‘Mother’. Even Mohammad Prophet said,(Peace Be Upon You) “Your heaven lies under the feet of your mother.”
In accordance with Hindu mythology Hindus worship the divine mothers in many popular forms such as Durga, Mahakali, Laxmi, Sarswati, Ambika and Uma.Even Bhishma Pitama said in Mahabharta, ‘The mother is panacea for all kinds of calamities.’ The existence of mother invests with protection, the reverse deprives one of all protection. Being a mother is no less than a miracle. Perhaps the physical presence of God is not possible everywhere because of which He created this idol called ‘Mom’. She is the goddess of multitasking, you say a thing or just give it a thought and she does that from cooking to earning and from pampering to scolding us for our wrongs. She plays her role with utmost love and affection. The relationship of mother-child is the most beautiful and an inseparable bond that we have in this world. She is the first person who teaches us how to stand on our own feet by holding our hand and it is she who teaches us how to learn from mistakes. A mother’s day is not only celebrated nationally but also globally in many countries. In India, it is celebrated on 9th of May every year. A mother is a wonderful creation through which further creation continues to be. It is the only relationship on this earth which is truly priceless in terms of countless love, devotion, dedication towards their family affairs and that extraordinary relationship is none other than that of the mother. On the remarkable celebrations of a mother’s day I would like to advise all the children of all mothers to take care of their mothers respectfully and with great regards to be shown to them which so ever the situation may be there ,their children are really indebted to their mothers as mothers’ amortisation and also Mother Earth’s obligation can never be paid off during this birth however they may try to pay off such amortisation. Once the parents are passed away only and then only their children realise their absence to be remembered by them with the living memory of photos only. Exceptions are found there to be rarely. Sant Kabir Dass had beautifully said,
Chale Gaye So Na Milay, Kisko Punchu Baat.
Maat Pita Sut Baandhana, Jhooth Sab Sanghat.
The writer has led a life in a joint family where he has taken care of the elderly people such as three great uncles (Tayas) and their counterparts including his own dear parents. Of them, mother who passed away 15 years ago, was the dearest one. She used to call me as my Shravan Putr because of her unconditional love towards me. In the evening of 8th November,2008 when I took her to the Bee Enn Hospital, TALAB TILLO Jammu for check her up,She breathed her last breathe into my lap in whose holy lap I had born 72 years ago. The days of the joint family are over now. Its place has been taken by the nuclear/micro families. The parents of the nuclear families who take utmost pain to get their children to make them IAS officers, Doctors, Directors so on, ultimately leave them in the lurch at this helpless stage to deposit them at so-called Old Age Home Amphalla or somewhere else breaking into with all sacred relationship with them. It is not a good sign of mortality and ethnicity rather to be paid off its return of their duties towards their parents who have made them so good and great. Some wise man asked who are above God or Guru? The other wise man remarked that Parents are above God Or Guru. Mother is considered to be the first greatest teacher in one’s life. Great men of the world like Gandhiji, Shivaji and Nepolean owed their greatness to their mothers. Such is the greatness of the mother. Mother is always been compared to the tolerance of ‘Mother Earth’. As mother earth bears with all upheavals taken place on its surface so is with the troublesome duties to be performed throughout her life right from her birth till death. In the religious Hindu scriptures there is a special mention regarding worshipping of women. A women is the full circle. Within her is the power to create, nurture and transform. Regardless of any reason mother is mother, motherhood is motherhood irrespective of any caste, creed, colour or status of queen or a poor woman of lower status. There is undoubtedly no difference at all in equal status of all motherhoods. The status of motherhood is always to be held up as high as sky.
