Mother-son among three killed in Chadwal mishap

KATHUA: A woman was killed on the spot and ten others got seriously injured when a superfast bus hit a tipper while overtaking at Chadwal Chowk on Jammu – Pathankot National Highway on Monday.
The deceased have been identified as Sukho Devi (36), wife of Sanjay Kumar resident of Ghagwal, who died on the spot while Naresh Kumari (42), wife of Raghubir Singh, resident of Shiva Nagar, Kathua and her nine-year-old son Nikhil Kumar succumbed to their injuries in GMC Hospital Jammu.
The superfast bus bearing registration No JK02AC-1675 which was on its way from Jammu to Kathua hit a tipper, bearing registration No JK08B-7307, while overtaking it, which led to death of the woman and injuries to ten others.
Ten seriously injured persons who were shifted to Government Medical College Hospital Jammu included Virti Sharma wife of Parshotam Lal resident of Kalshpur, Kritika wife of Shashipal and Raghu son of Shashipal, both residents of Narote Jamal Singh, Punjab, Gourav Abrol, son of Surinder Kumar resident of Barwal, Harjeet Singh son of Bachan Singh resident of Beeru Chak, Dishita Sharma, daughter of Rishi Sharma, resident of Shiva Nagar Kathua, Sahil, son of Sanjay Kumar and Akhil, son of Sanjay Kumar, both residents of Ghagwal.
