BILLAWAR: Dr Manohar Lal Sharma, former Minister conducted three days long tour to attend various social and religious functions at different villages of Billawar Constituency in Kathua Distt which include Kishanpur, Ramgarh-Pallan, Dher, Parnella, Kishanpur-Dungara, Mandli, Dingisambli, Pargan-Durang, Sallan, SC Mohalla Kasbah, Banu Check and Dhayal Chack and interact with people from different walks of life including Sarpanchs and Panchs.
Dr Sharma while interacting with the people of areas said that the BJP-PDP Govt. is totally a failure in all fronts of developmental activities, giving justice to common men, generating employment opportunities, fight against terrorism, maintaining law and order including restoring peace in the State and similar is the position of Modi’s Govt. in Centre. He said that the present chaos in State is a result of coalition failure which is ultimately gifted to us by Modi.
Dr Sharma launching a scathing attack on BJP-PDP coalition for prevailing mess and uncertainty in State and regretted that during the last three years, the present regime has spoiled the peaceful atmosphere which was achieved by the previous government. He further said that what is happening after the formation of PDP-BJP coalition in 2015 and pointing out that they have crossed all limits in corruption in every field of public life and brazenly eroded sanctity and credibility of democratic institutions through their deceit tactics.
People of the area apprised Dr Sharma about their sufferings and day to day problems due to non availability of drinking water, electricity, sugar and ration in sale depots and bad condition of roads. Public also accused the Govt. over rise in corruption in every Govt. office and there is open loot for a minor task/work. They further said there is no check in corruption and nobody here to listens to the grievances of aggrieved.
Dr Sharma accused that the BJP Govt. at State as well in Centre is working totally against the interest of poor, farmers, unemployed youths and working class in the country. Its polices and all decisions taken during three years tenure shows the real face of BJP whether it may be the funding or allocation of funds for social sector.
Dr Sharma said that the failure of the government exposed the real face of BJP and its leadership before the public of the region. He said that BJP made tall claims and raised hollow slogans but after coming in power, it surrendered itself completely at the hands of PDP to enjoy power. He appealed to all the Jammuites to unite and fight for common cause of the region like equal share in employment and funds.
