JAMMU: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Yudhvir Sethi reaffirmed the government’s commitment to give a befitting response to Pakistan’s nefarious designs following the tragic martyrdom of three valiant officers, including an Army Colonel, Major, and Deputy Superintendent of Police, during the Kokernag encounter.
Sethi made this statement during a candlelight march, which he led alongside Civil Society Members, Officers of the Jammu and Kashmir Police Department, and District Administration. The candlelight march commenced from Bharat Mata Chowk and culminated at Raghunath Ji Mandir Chowk, marking a solemn tribute to the supreme sacrifice made by these brave hearts in the line of duty. Joining the march were members of various Bazaar associations, civil society members, councillors Gopal Mahajan and Anil Masoom, as well as several prominent citizens.
Speaking on the occasion, Yudhvir Sethi expressed the nation’s solidarity with the grieving families of the martyred officers. He stated, “The loss of these brave souls is an irreparable loss to the nation. They displayed unparalleled valor and unwavering dedication while serving our country. Their sacrifice will forever be cherished and remembered.”
The senior BJP leader reiterated the government’s firm resolve to give a fitting reply to Pakistan’s malicious intentions and safeguard the nation’s security. He emphasized that the sacrifices made by these officers would not go in vain, and their memory would inspire countless others to serve the nation with unwavering commitment.
He asked Pakistan to desist from exporting terrorism to India. He emphasized the need for Pakistan to abandon its destabilizing activities in our country.
