VIJAYPUR: Accusing Modi Government of failing to deal with Pakistan, former Minister and JKPCC general secretary Manjit Singh on Tuesday strongly condemned Pak shelling on civilian areas of Ramgarh sector where six people including children have lost lives.
On Tuesday morning, Pak Rangers fired heavy shells towards the civilian areas in a village of Ramgarh where six lost lives. “This act of Pakistan can never be justified. Pakistan must be taught a tough lesson so that it could not repeat such things in future,” said Manjit Singh, who was angry over the loss of lives in the mortar shelling.
Singh while criticizing the Central Government said that they have failed in their foreign policy to deal with Pakistan, while only pump and show was made to show that “India has successfully isolated Pakistan.”
“We are unable to understand the fake propaganda and failure of Union Government in dealing with the situation on the borders where innocent civilians and soldiers are being killed without any justification to the Pak shelling,” said Manjit Singh.
He said that “For the poor farmers who have lost their crops, war with Pakistan has started as they have lost everything whether it is loss of human lives or cattles or standing crops.”
The Government had adopted double standard to deal with the situation. “Prime Minister Narindra Modi is doing lip service to the nation, while on other innocents are being killed on borders by Pakistan.”
He said that the arrogance of Modi has put the nation at the edge with continuous shelling from other side of the border (Pakistan). “No one is here to listen to the border residents. If they cannot make possible efforts to calm tempers on the border by holding talks with Pakistan, then Govt of India should declare war because present situation is not less than a war,” said Manjit Singh. He said that Modi government is taking decisions of borders while sitting in the AC rooms in Delhi without knowing ground realities where people have been badly affected.
“They are doing their service from Delhi. The ground situation is taken an ugly turn. They don’t know how to handle it so the things have developed worse,” he alleged.
Condemning Pakistan, he said that Pakistan is behaving like a ‘mad dog’ and we need to ‘tranquilize’ this neighbouring country which is hell bent to disrupt peace in Jammu and Kashmir.
