Earlier, the development funds were provided only upto MLA and MLC levels but now under BJP regime the funds will reach upto Panchs and Sarpanchs entailing overall development of Jammu and Kashmir. This benevolent process could only be evolved due to scrapping of Article 370″, he maintained.
Highlighting benefits of abrogation of Article 370, Sethi, who is also the Prabhari of Kathua district, said that Articles 370 and 35A were responsible for Jammu and Kashmir’s backwardness while only benefiting a select few like the separatists and their associates. “The neutralization of 370, abrogation of 35-A and reorganisation of J&K State into two Union Territories are acts of transforming erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir into hub of peace from a hotbed of separatism, terrorism and international intrigue. Jammu and Kashmir has now stands fully integrated without any constitutional reservations that nourished feeling of separateness amongst the people living here. The fundamental rights as enshrined in the constitution of India are now available in full measure to all Domiciles of Jammu and Kashmiris. Gorkhas, Valmiki Samaj, PoJK refugees, West Pakistan refugees now enjoy all rights as equal citizens of India after suffering a humiliating discrimination for all these years,” he said.
“J&K is now a place where there is no gender inequality and women from this place enjoy equal rights as citizens. Their families including the children are now Bonafide Domiciles who can purchase property, get jobs, and participated in full measure in the development and prosperity of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The application of Right to Information Act without any reservations to Jammu and Kashmir will usher in an era of transparency in all spheres of governance and development. We are now moving into an era of progress, development and peace,” Sethi said.
