Raipur/Amritsar: Bharatiya Janata Party National General Secretary Tarun Chugh visited Gurudwara Dhan Dhan Baba Budha Sahib Ji in Raipur on Tuesday and bowed before Sri Guru Granth Sahib during the special Diwan held on the sacred occasion of the 350th Shahidi Purab of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.
Chugh bowed in reverence, paid homage to Guru Sahib’s supreme sacrifice, and performed Ardas for peace, unity, and the progress of the Nation. He prayed for continued well-being and prosperity of the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Chugh said that Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji chose martyrdom over submission and stood as a shield for humanity against tyranny, forced conversions and injustice. He added that Guru Sahib’s sacrifice is not only a defining moment in Sikh history but an eternal chapter in the civilizational and spiritual identity of India, reminding the world that religious freedom and human dignity are inherent rights of every individual.
Chugh said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Government of India has taken historic and decisive steps to honour the Sikh legacy and secure global respect for Sikh identity. Restoration of sacred sites, enhanced facilities for pilgrims, and landmark welfare initiatives for the Sikh community have brought an end to decades of political neglect, he added.
A large number of devotees attended the Diwan.
Tarun Chugh also participated in Langar Sewa.
After the programme, he briefly interacted with the media and expressed gratitude to the Sangat and the Gurudwara management committee.
