JAMMU: To ensure preparedness on ground and to check reaction time in case of bomb blast, grenade attack, fidayeen attack or any other subversive activity, Police on Tuesday conducted a mock drill in and around the Parade Market.
SOG, CAPF, police personnel from Sub-Division City North i.e, Police Station Bus Stand, City, Pacca Danga and Peer Mitha participated in this exercise.
According to SOP prepared for such situation i.e, plugging of lanes leading to place of incidents to prevent the crowd, catch/hold the suspect, diversion of traffic routes and appeal to public for not to believe in rumors was adopted. Naka points of Sub Division North were also put on high alert. The whole exercise was carried out in view of border disturbance and present security scenario in the State.
