MLA Udhampur applauds improved patient care at district hospital

UDHAMPUR: The quarterly meeting of the Rogi Kalyan Samiti (RKS ) was held at the District Hospital Udhampur under the chairmanship of MLA Udhampur, Pawan Gupta and was attended by Vice Chairman RKS , CMO Udhampur Dr K.C Dogra, Medical Superintendent Dr Vijay Basnotra, Deputy MS Dr Vijay Raina, XEn PDD, XEn PWD and other esteemed members of the committee.
The MLA conducted a round of the hospital premises and took stock of the medical care and facilities being provided to the patients. Applauding the improvements in functioning and better facilities and patient care introduced at the hospital, the MLA congratulated the team led by Medical Superintendent. After inspecting the premises he gave instructions to the XEn PWD for face-lifting the hospital on immediate priority and constructing a new 50 bedded Maternity Ward at the hospital for the benefit of the patients. He also instructed the XEn PDD to shift the power grid installation near the hospital to a different location so that the area could be utilised for expansion of the hospital.
Pawan Gupta on his visit inaugurated a number of new and improved facilities at the hospital. Besides inaugurating a new one bedded Critical Care Unit in the Emergency Wing, also flagged off a new, dedicated Critical Care Ambulance as part of improved Emergency Response Time Measures from the hospital. A new Computerised Radiography ( CR ) unit purchased under the aegis of RKS was inaugurated. MLA also flagged off a new hearse given under the CDF scheme.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Dy Med Supdt Dr Vijay Raina.
