JAMMU: Taking exception to lathi-charge on NIT students for waving Tricolour and raising Bharat Mata Ki Jai slogans, BJP MLA from Nowshera constituency Ravinder Raina on Wednesday boycotted the dinner hosted by Chief Minister Mehbboba Mufti.
Talking to STATE TIMES, Raina said, “Over the atrocities with NIIT students, I boycotted the dinner hosted by CM tonight. This is worse kind of human rights violation.” “We cannot tolerate this type of treatment with the students who are cream of our country, Raina said, adding “Under a well planned conspiracy they have been beaten up by the J&K Police.” Demanding a thorough probe into the incident, Raina demanded registration of FIR against the cops who cane-charged those students who waved Tricolour. “I challenge these cops to arrest those who wave Pakistani flags in Kashmir every day,” said MLA Raina, adding, “These JKP cops have no courage even to touch them.
Appealing to CM Mehbooba Mufti to intervene and book all those who are supporting anti-national elements, Raina said, “No anti-national activity will be tolerated anywhere in the country.”
