RAJOURI: A minor girl of village Doongi who was allegedly raped by the youth of the same village after promising to marry her has been hospitalized when she conceived.
The youth identified as Mohd Umar, son of Mohd Mushtaq, resident of village Doongi, developed relation with the minor girl and he continued to rape her on the pretext of marriage.
When the girl informed Mohd Umar that she had become pregnant, he refused to marry her. She therefore disclosed this to her parents who immediately shifted her to District Hospital Rajouri and informed the police. Since the condition of minor girl was serious, she was evacuated to Government Medical College Hospital Jammu.
The Rajouri police has registered the case FIR 725/16 under Section 376 and 109 RPC and conducted raids to arrest the accused.
