JAMMU: On the directions of Transport Minister Abdul Gani Kohli to provide public transport facility to the public of Gujjar Nagar, Qassim Nagar and adjoining areas DIG Traffic Jammu, Ashkoor Wani, Regional Transport Officer Jammu A.K Khajuria and SSP Traffic Mohan Lal inaugurated mini bus service on five new routes of city on Wednesday.
These services shall operate on routes which are Amphalla Jammu to Bhatindi via (Indra Chowk, Vivekananda Chowk, Gujjar Nagar, Bridge) and vice versa (3 mini buses), Amphalla to Sunjwan via (Indra Chowk, Vivekananda Chowk, Gujjar Nagar Bridge) and vice versa (3 mini buses), Amphalla to Chhanni Himmat, via (Indra Chowk, Gujjar Nagar) and vice versa (5 mini buses), Amphalla to Kargil Colony via (Narwal, Kiryani Talab, Qasim Nagar ) and vice versa (14 mini buses) and Bus Stand to Nagrota via (Amphalla Panjthirthi ) and vice versa (6 mini buses).
Besides this 10 additional services from Amaphalla to Chowadhi via MAM College were also added to the already existing route to cater to the requirements of the public especially the students and old-age persons.
Earlier, there was no service to these routes via Gujjar Nagar bridge and people were facing lot of hardships. By the starting of these new mini bus services on the routes the people of these areas will be eased for their mobility.
