JAMMU: To pay tributes to legendry singers Lata Mangeshkar and Bhupinder Singh, a musical event ‘Tribute To The Legendry’ was held in the auditorium of JK Public School, Kunjwani on Friday evening, wherein a number of budding and senior singers of Jammu participated and presented a number of songs, in memory of both the great singers of Bollywood.
Editor-In-Chief STATE TIMES, Raj Daluja was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Organised by renowned singers Subash Langeh, his wife Neelam Langeh, son Aditya and their team, the event was witnessed by a galaxy of dignitaries including former Director Information, Soujanya Sharma; former Chief Engineer PHE, Er Narendra Rohmetra and renowned gastroenterologist Dr Bharat Bhushan besides a number of other eminent citizens. The event started with formal lighting of ceremonial lamp by the Chief Guest and other dignitaries followed by paying floral tributes to famous singers Lata Mangeshkar and Bhupinder Singh, who had created a history in the world of music with their hard work and dedication.
Appreciating efforts of the team for presenting such a memorable programme in the memory of great singers of Bollywood, Raj Daluja said that there is no dearth of talent in Jammu and the only need is to provide them appropriate platform, so that they can excel at nation and international levels for bringing laurels to their family and the Union territory.
Although, all participating singers presented a number of songs in their melodious voices, but some Bollywood hits, especially Naam Gum Jayega, Biti Na Bitaye Raina, Tere Bina Zindagi Se Koi, Kisi Nazar Ko Tera Intzaar etc, mesmerized the audience and kept them spellbound during entire event. The event culminated with felicitation of the singers and other participants who worked hard for the smooth conduct of the event.
