Mendhar Police manhandle scribe

MENDHAR: In an incident of highhandedness by Mendhar Police, a reporter of an English Daily, was manhandled by the police and snatched his purse and even the press identity card. The reporter who received an information regarding copying at an examination centre where students of 10th class were taking exam, reached the centre to see if there was anything wrong, was dragged by the cops and threatened.
Taking a strong note of the incident the local media persons reached the Police Station Mendhar and lodged complaint against a Head Constable and his team deputed at the examination centre of Government Boys Higher Secondary School Mendhar. Meanwhile SDPO Mendhar was also contacted who assured that action will be taken against the erring cop if found guilty but till receipt of the last report no action was taken.
The reporters of Mendhar have sought proper inquiry into the highhandedness of the police and suitable action against the erring cops.
